Deerpark Log Cabin
Our log cabin location is Deerpark, Cornwall which is located between Looe and Liskeard approximately 30-40 minutes from Plymouth. It is totally secluded and the lodge we book, overlooks the lake, perfect for picturesque views from the hot tub.

We book a 3 night self catering stay which is from Friday (check in 4pm) to Monday (check out 10am) but you can always leave earlier if you have work commitments on the Monday. In some circumstance, if you are unable to drive, we can also offer a taxi service.

Every booking comes with flexible amendment protection, this means we can amend the date of your stay up to 3 weeks prior to your arrival date. We understand that grief is very up and down which is why we always do our best to remain as flexible as possible. Please let us know if you can’t make it prior to 3 weeks before your check in date so we can rearrange it for a later date with no questions asked.
The cabins are either 2 or 3 bedrooms so there is plenty of space. You can ‘getaway’ as a couple, with your children, as a family, or with a friend for support, the choice is entirely yours. If you are bringing children/siblings, please let us know so we can ensure the necessary baby and toddler equipment is prepared for you if required. This comprises of a highchair and/or travel cot.

Dogs are welcome but please let us know so we can ensure we book a pet friendly lodge. There are always a very limited number of pet friendly lodges so we will try our best to accommodate your furry family members.

We always add on a complimentary WiFi, movies and Sky bundle package for you to enjoy. You can hibernate and watch films until your heart is content.
We provide a complimentary welcome food hamper which is delivered for your arrival containing the basics. You can order on site food delivery options such as pizza or curries directly to your cabin to save time and the effort of cooking. When ordering, try and order as early as possible to avoid delays. The cut off time is normally 30 minutes prior to the closing time.
Every cabin has a hot tub for you to relax and enjoy along with a log burner. During the Winter months we will provide kindling.

Once your booking is confirmed and emailed to you, you will be able to call Forest Holidays and add on any activities or treatments you would like. From in-cabin massages to bike hire, just give them a ring, quote your reference number and book your activity (you will need to pay for these).

Enjoy the pleasure of being surrounded by nature and seeing lots of wildlife. They aren’t shy so be prepared for squirrels, and robins on your decking and ducks swimming by. Immerse yourself in nature by strolling around the lake and exploring different nature trails or hibernate and watch the wildlife go by from the comfort of the cabin.

We are always sorry we have to ask but please do not be alarmed when we ask for evidence for your baby. We must ask all families as we legally have to have an audit trail of our bookings for the Charity Commission to prove we are using the charity’s money for the correct and lawful purpose.
The getaway can be accessed immediately, from leaving the hospital prior to returning home, waiting until after your baby's funeral or commemorating their due date, we always hope that having this positive experience to look forward to can help you get through the hard days and offer a glimmer of hope.
