Deerpark Log Cabin
Our log cabin location is Deerpark, Cornwall which is located between Looe and Liskeard approximately 30-40 minutes from Plymouth. It is totally secluded and the lodge we book, overlooks the lake, perfect for picturesque views from the hot tub.
We book a 3 night self catering stay which is from Friday (check in 4pm) to Monday (check out 10am) but you can always leave earlier if you have work commitments on the Monday. In some circumstance, if you are unable to drive, we can also offer a taxi service.
Every booking comes with flexible amendment protection, this means we can amend the date of your stay up to 3 weeks prior to your arrival date. We understand that grief is very up and down which is why we always do our best to remain as flexible as possible. Please let us know if you can’t make it prior to 3 weeks before your check in date so we can rearrange it for a later date with no questions asked.
The cabins are either 2 or 3 bedrooms so there is plenty of space. You can ‘getaway’ as a couple, with your children, as a family, or with a friend for support, the choice is entirely yours. If you are bringing children/siblings, please let us know so we can ensure the necessary baby and toddler equipment is prepared for you if required. This comprises of a highchair and/or travel cot.
Dogs are welcome but please let us know so we can ensure we book a pet friendly lodge. There are always a very limited number of pet friendly lodges so we will try our best to accommodate your furry family members.
We always add on a complimentary WiFi, movies and Sky bundle package for you to enjoy. You can hibernate and watch films until your heart is content.
We provide a complimentary welcome food hamper which is delivered for your arrival containing the basics. You can order on site food delivery options such as pizza or curries directly to your cabin to save time and the effort of cooking. When ordering, try and order as early as possible to avoid delays. The cut off time is normally 30 minutes prior to the closing time.
Every cabin has a hot tub for you to relax and enjoy along with a log burner. During the Winter months we will provide kindling.
Once your booking is confirmed and emailed to you, you will be able to call Forest Holidays and add on any activities or treatments you would like. From in-cabin massages to bike hire, just give them a ring, quote your reference number and book your activity (you will need to pay for these).
Enjoy the pleasure of being surrounded by nature and seeing lots of wildlife. They aren’t shy so be prepared for squirrels, and robins on your decking and ducks swimming by. Immerse yourself in nature by strolling around the lake and exploring different nature trails or hibernate and watch the wildlife go by from the comfort of the cabin.
We are always sorry we have to ask but please do not be alarmed when we ask for evidence for your baby. We must ask all families as we legally have to have an audit trail of our bookings for the Charity Commission to prove we are using the charity’s money for the correct and lawful purpose.
The getaway can be accessed immediately, from leaving the hospital prior to returning home, waiting until after your baby's funeral or commemorating their due date, we always hope that having this positive experience to look forward to can help you get through the hard days and offer a glimmer of hope.

Scarlet Hotel

Our hotel location is Scarlet Hotel, Cornwall which is located in Mawgan Porth, approximately 1 hour from Plymouth. In some circumstances for those who do not drive, we are able to offer a taxi service.
This hotel is the epitome of relaxation and tranquillity. With all rooms overlooking the beautiful beaches and coastline you can be sure to gaze from your balcony to the beautiful views of the sea and doze off to the sound of the waves.
We book a 2 night stay in this 4.5 star hotel for you to enjoy with your partner or with a friend. This hotel is adults only.
Check in is from 4pm and check out is at 11am. You are welcome to arrive anytime on the day of your arrival to begin your Scarlet experience.
Breakfast and dinner is included during your stay along with full use of the spa facilities. We will always ask for any dietary requirements and the preferable times for your evening meals. You will only need to pay for your drinks and any lunches or snacks you choose to have.
The stay can be booked at anytime, whether this is during the week or over the weekend depending on their availability. As it is an adults only hotel it is great for those who need to be away from babies and children. It is always worth noting that there could potentially be pregnant people around.
This is the perfect place to ‘getaway’ if you just want to escape and be waited on. No cooking, making a drink or lifting a finger. All of the rooms are modern with an open plan bathroom. Each of them have a balcony which overlooks breathtaking sea views.
The spa facilities consist of an indoor heated pool, an outdoor plunge pool, cliff top sauna’s and hot tubs, relaxing loungers and cosy corners. You will be given robes, towels and slippers for extra comfort.
We also include a complimentary 30-minute cliff top hot tub experience for you to soak up the views and unwind. The details will be included in your booking confirmation email.
We pay for the full balance of your stay. All you will need to pay for are drinks and any lunches. You can eat at the hotel or take a stroll to the beach. There are seafront shops with pasties. sandwiches, cafe's and other lunch options available.
Breakfast is homemade and freshly prepared. As there is so much choice you may only need something light for lunch to keep you going before your dinner reservation.
We will send you some simple questions to gather your details in order to make the booking on your behalf. If you ever require anything else please let us know.

Pengelly Retreat
The Boat House is an architect-designed, self-catering lakeside cabin in Cornwall, approximately 30-40 minutes from Royal Cornwall Hospital.
It enjoys pride of place looking straight down the largest lake with gorgeous sunrise and sunset views. A lovely country retreat near St Ives and Hayle yet surrounded by rural tranquillity, there is oodles of space and privacy all around, plus its own huge private deck area – part of which is cantilevered over the lake itself.
The inspiration for the Boat House lakeside cabin was just that, hence the shape and design of the wood cabin with its large windows looking out over the lake.
Inside the Boat House cabin, Cornwall you will find a comfortable open-plan living space decorated in neutral scandi-chic tones and colours, complete with sitting area, cosy log burner and fully equipped kitchen. The large windows bring the outside in and allow light to flood into the cabin and, weather permitting, you can throw open the French doors to your veranda.
The peaceful bedroom space is at the rear of the Boat House cabin complete with plush double bed. The shower room is en-suite to the bedroom and has a shower, toilet and basin. In addition to the log burner, underfloor heating (morning & evening) provides a luxurious touch of warmth underfoot and hot water on demand means you can warm up after days spent at one of the nearby beaches.
Outside, the Boat House lakeside cabin has a neat sun deck with deck chairs and a coffee table and the most glorious views over the lake. Down a set of wooden stairs to the other side of the luxury lodge, you’ll find your private fire pit, table and chairs in a peaceful garden area by the lake.
On a sunny day, you can relax on your private deck and watch the clouds reflect in the lake. There’s also a fantastic outdoor bathtub on the deck: sink into a hot bubble bath, with a glass of bubbles in hand and enjoy the stunning lake views.
