Deerpark is a peaceful, secluded log cabin retreat in Cornwall, located between Looe and Liskeard, approximately 30 to 40 minutes from Plymouth. The lodge we book overlooks the lake, offering picturesque views and the perfect spot to unwind in the hot tub while surrounded by nature.

• We offer a three night, self catering stay from Friday (check in 4pm) to Monday (check out 10am). If you need to leave earlier due to work commitments, that is absolutely fine. In some circumstances, if you do not drive, we can also arrange a taxi service.

 

• All bookings come with flexible amendment protection, meaning your stay can be rescheduled up to three weeks prior to arrival. We understand that grief can be unpredictable, so we aim to remain as flexible as possible. If you are unable to attend, let us know before at least 2 weeks before and we can rearrange your stay for a later date, no questions asked.

 

• The cabins are available with two or three bedrooms, offering plenty of space. You are welcome to come as a couple, with children, as a family, or with a friend for support, the choice is entirely yours. If you are bringing children or siblings, please let us know so we can prepare any necessary baby or toddler equipment, including a highchair and/or travel cot.

 

• Dogs are welcome, but please let us know in advance so we can book a pet friendly lodge. These are limited, but we will always try our best to accommodate your furry family members.

 

• Every cabin includes a complimentary wifi, movies, and Sky package, so you can relax and enjoy films from the comfort of your lodge.

 

• We provide a welcome food hamper containing the basics for your arrival. You can also order food delivery directly to your cabin — pizza, curries, and more, to save time and effort. To avoid delays, please order as early as possible, usually no later than 30 minutes before the vendor’s closing time.

 

• Each cabin features a hot tub and log burner, with kindling provided during winter months. Once your booking is confirmed, you can call Forest Holidays to add on any optional activities or treatments, from in cabin massages to bike hire (these are payable separately).

 

• Immerse yourself in nature and wildlife, watch squirrels, robins, and ducks from your decking, take a stroll around the lake, or explore the various nature trails.

 

• We are always sorry to ask, but please do not be alarmed if we request evidence relating to your baby. This is a legal requirement to maintain an audit trail for the Charity Commission, ensuring funds are used appropriately.

 

• Your getaway can be taken whenever feels right. Whether immediately after leaving the hospital, following your baby’s funeral, or to commemorate their due date. We hope that having this peaceful retreat to look forward to can offer comfort, hope, and a moment of respite during difficult days.
