South View Lodges offers beautiful countryside lodges just outside Exeter, providing a calm and comforting space to rest, reflect, and spend gentle time together. Surrounded by peaceful rural views, it’s a quiet retreat for couples and families needing a change of environment.

• Stays are for three nights on a self catering basis, from Friday (check in from 4pm) to Monday (check out by 10am). If you need to leave earlier on the Monday due to work or other commitments, that’s absolutely fine.

​

• We understand that grief can be unpredictable, and plans may change. We will always do our best to be as flexible and supportive as possible. If you’re unable to attend your stay, please let us know at least three weeks before your check in date and we will happily rearrange for a later time, no questions asked.

​

• The lodges are available with a choice of layouts and sleeping arrangements, offering comfortable space whether you’re coming as a couple, as a family, or with a friend for support, whatever feels right for you.

​

• If you are bringing children or siblings, please let us know so we can prepare any baby or toddler equipment you may need, including a highchair and/or travel cot.

​

• Dogs are welcome at selected lodges. Please let us know in advance so we can ensure a pet friendly lodge is booked for you, and we will do our very best to accommodate your furry family members.

​

• To help you settle in, we provide a complimentary food hamper delivered ahead of your arrival, containing some essentials for your stay.

​

• Each lodge offers its own private hot tub, giving you the opportunity to relax and unwind in peaceful surroundings.

• We are always sorry to have to ask, but please don’t be alarmed if we request evidence relating to your baby. We are required to ask all families, as we must legally keep an audit trail for the Charity Commission to show that the charity’s funds are being used appropriately and for their intended purpose.

• Your getaway can be taken whenever feels right for you. Whether that’s straight from leaving the hospital before returning home, after your baby’s funeral, or around your baby’s due date. We hope that having something gentle and positive to look forward to can help carry you through the harder days and offer a small glimmer of hope.
