Let us bring light into your darkest of days

Luna's Fund is a baby loss and pregnancy after loss charity offering practical and emotional support to bereaved parents and expectant parents in Plymouth, Truro and the surrounding areas.

We aim to support parents after the loss of their baby before, during or after birth by offering a choice of practical services that they can access immediately upon leaving the hospital. Our criteria is stillbirth (24 weeks pregnancy) through to 28 days neonatal death.

We hope our services will positively impact their grieving process and give them hope for their future; their 'new normal'.

Our criteria for baby loss is stillbirth (24 weeks gestation) through to a neonatal death (up to 28 days) in Plymouth, through Derriford Hospital, or Cornwall, through the Royal Cornwall Hospital. We are working hard to expand our baby loss services to the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital and Torbay in 2026, but we are not able to help at present.

Our criteria for pregnancy after loss is a previous stillbirth (24 weeks) through to a neonatal loss (up to 28 days) and now pregnant following the loss in Devon or Cornwall. We use private scanning centres to offer reassurance during the pregnancy.  The parent/s should be able to access Babybond Exeter, Babybond Plymouth or the BabySkan Studio, Truro, to be eligible for our services.

Pregnancy After Loss

We understand how it feels to not fit into the 'normal' pregnancy groups but also feeling disconnected from baby loss groups during this time.

This group has been created for those who are enduring the complicated journey of pregnancy after loss. This group is a safe space to seek advice, share experiences and talk openly about your child or grandchild.

Radio Devon
Aimee Green is helping bereaved families across the South West

Aimee was invited back to Radio Devon as a guest with radio presenter John Acres.

They discussed Mother’s Day advice, how to cope with a conflicting day, the charity’s future, its impact on those we support and the impending nominations for the BBC 'Make a Difference Awards,' a year after being chosen as the 2024 winner in the Brave Category.

Another fantastic opportunity for the Charity to raise awareness.

Make a Difference Award Winner 2024 - Bravery Category

Aimee was a finalist in the Bravery category for BBC Devon's 'Make a Difference Awards' in September 2024 before she won the category and she was presented with the award

From Plymouth to Parliament
Aimee Green represented Luna's Fund in London for the APPG on Baby Loss

Aimee flew the Luna's Fund flag in London when she represented Luna's Fund and the South West at the All Party Parliamentary Group on baby loss in May and October 2025.

The two hour meetings focus on the inequalities of baby loss, maternity care and bereavement care, with MP’s, health professionals and baby loss charities coming together to demand better and to see plans for future action.

The inequalities show that black and ethnic minority families are disproportionately affected by baby loss, facing a significantly higher risk of stillbirth and neonatal death in the UK.
Parents who are already facing unimaginable loss are being failed by the system without enough pathologists to meet demand. Ridiculously long waits for post-mortem results aren’t just delays, they are barriers to healing, closure, and justice.

Loss doesn’t abide by the clock, families deserve 24/7 bereavement care by trained midwives. The bottom line is, we’re tired of patchwork care. Families deserve consistency, compassion, and change. You can be sure to rely on a group of bereaved parents to champion change and to give parents the care they deserve

Luna’s Fund are committed to listening, learning, and advocating for change. We stand beside every parent navigating grief, injustice, and silence.

Every baby matters.

West Country Women's Awards
Aimee Green represented Luna's Fund as a finalist in the Community Award category

What began as a desperate attempt to survive her own grief on maternity leave became the beginning of Luna’s Fund. Aimee left the hospital with only a few photocopied leaflets, a memory box and an overwhelming sense that 'this cannot be it'.

So , starting small, with one idea, one message and one family at a time.... Luna's Fund was created.

Nearly 8 years later, Luna’s Fund is a lifeline for families navigating baby loss, pregnancy loss, & parenting after loss. We’ve built a powerful community across Devon and Cornwall, bereaved parents, siblings, grandparents, & loved ones, brought together through thousands of conversations, late night messages, hospital visits, support groups, events, & shared tears.

We hold parents hands the moment they leave the hospital & support them through anniversaries, milestones, due dates, & the pregnancies that follow loss.

The Community Award is for every parent who has walked out of a hospital with empty arms and a memory box.

First Podcast
Aimee Green talks all things Luna's Fund in her first podcast

Aimee was invited by Matt from One Set of Footprints to join him in an open and honest conversation at Fresh Air Studios about all things Luna’s Fund. Our mission, hopes for the future, the heart behind what we do and how to cope with grief.

Aimee spoke about the raw realities of grief after baby loss, the emotional rollercoaster of pregnancy after loss, and the deep importance of supporting dads who are overlooked and underrepresented through their own silent pain.

She also shared our vision for better bereavement care, how Luna’s Fund helps families find light in their darkest moments, and the passion that continues to drive our work every single day.

Grab a cuppa and a blanket, or your headphones and the dog for a walk and enjoy. Thank you so much Matt for taking an interest in our charity, the work we do and for this amazing opportunity.
